Children’s Tales Set To Music
___________________________________________________________

Sit back, relax, and prepare to be swept away to a place of fantasy. The lights dim. Musicians take their place on stage. A man dressed in dark clothes appears and stands behind a podium. Through a microphone, his deep voice extends a warm greeting. The concert is about to begin.
Welcome to a world where music and stories reign supreme. At a Stories and Soundscapes concert, listeners may meet a young squire on a quest through an enchanted forest. Or futuristic astronomers who “discover” the earth.
The tale of Mabel—an elderly woman who tangles with an unruly Hansel and Gretel—might be told. Or that of a boy in his room of blue. Ballet Bears, Mean Fish, Jammin’ Elves and Jiving Gargoyles are a few characters the audience can expect to encounter in words during a Stories and Soundscapes concert.
The performance for families aims to engage and delight children from five to thirteen years old and their adult companions. The stories and music are all original. Tales are dramatically delivered by a professional actor. Live music is performed by an array of musicians. Even a dancer or two may make a surprise appearance!
So come on down, find a seat, and settle in.
Let the magic begin!
